The next lease program was established by Ultimate Genetics in 2006. next signifies that a bull has been evaluated and selected by an experienced panel to have potential to be an influential and stable genetic breeding bull in his appropriate breed.The program's goals are to test these bulls and achieve genetic accuracy. next sires must have genetic indicators suggesting calving ease as well as growth and favorable carcass traits. Ultimate Genetics offers these bulls with discount packages to allow breeders to try these bulls and get ahead of the curve.
The next Angus lease program was created in 2007 with cooperation of the Texas Angus Association. This program gives Texas Angus members a "proving ground" for their young Angus sires. next Angus bulls are nominated by Texas Angus members once a year. After being nominated the bulls are evaluated and selected by a panel formed by Ultimate Genetics and the Texas Angus Board of Directors. Texas Angus members have a vested interest in trying these young sires in their A.I. contemporary evaluations.
The next programs name and concept was developed by Elders Breeding services in Australia. Elders developed the program to evaluate young sires of interest in test herds across Australia. Many top sires in Australia have been proven in this program.
A next Graduate is a title given to a young sire that has achieved 60% accuracy in BW, WW, YW, REA and %IMF EPD's.
The Ultimate Sire program was first formed in 2005 by Ultimate Genetics to distinguish bulls that were proven in the desired traits of their appropriate breeds. In 2008, the Ultimate Sire stamp began to represent bulls that established EPD accuracy, excel in their respective breed for a trait or group of traits and their progeny have become popular and in demand throughout the breed.
